There are a lot of people confusing goals with desires (even dreams). The difference between successful and not successful people is the action - do you really do something, so that your goals are achieved (small steps every day), or you are just dreaming without doing anything.
Realizing the power of proper mindset towards goals is life changing. Transforming desires into action lays in the core of the GROW model, commonly used for coaching and decision making.
This model consists of four stages: Goal, Reality, Options, and Will and I would like to share them with those of you that hear about this model for first time.
Goal ✏️ What is your goal? How to do know that you have achieve it?
How important is that goal for you from 1 to 10?
What are your ambitions? It is all about clarity first.
Reality ✏️ Where are you now? What resources do you need to achieve your goal?
What do you need to move forward? It is all about analyzing the current realities.
Options ✏️ What opportunities do you have? What is the chance
for achieving your goal? What are your obstacles? What would you do
if your main obstacle does not exist? It is about exploring your options.
Will ✏️ What is your first step? When do you plan to do the first step?
How motivated you are from 1 to 10? What do you need so that
your motivation is higher? It is about establishing the will to get things done
to achieve your goals in line with your available options.
There is just no growing without actions!
